About the Anderson Group

The Anderson Group, which is based in Chelmsford and was formed in 1987, is one of the largest independent construction and development companies in the south east of England.

We are unique in that we have in-house companies which deal with all aspects of the construction industry, from specialist site clean up to complex foundation and civil engineering projects, right through to multi-storey construction schemes, design and build, and, of course, property development.

Constable Homes is the property development arm of the Anderson Group and trades as Anderson Developments.

Environmental Policy

In keeping with our high quality approach, Anderson Developments has created a series of policies aimed at highlighting its commitment to the environment. Through the Anderson Group, the company has developed a number of environmental objectives which are achieved through its integrated business management system, iGATE and InfoSystem. Complying with the International Standards Organisation's environmental accreditation, 14001:2004, iGATE and InfoSystem enable Anderson Developments to monitor and improve performance against its objectives.

These objectives include:

To comply with environmental legislation and other environmental requirements relevant to activities, products and services, and evaluate compliance with such requirements regularly
To pursue the reduction of environmental impact associated with activities, products and services
To endeavour to eliminate the production of polluting emissions or discharges into the environment
To take proactive measures to protect and preserve wildlife, flora and their habitats
To set objectives, targets and programmes and review and revise them regularly with the aim of continual improvement in environmental performance
